Profile

K.B. Muralidharan is currently an Assistant Professor at Cochin University of Science and Technology. He has more than 11 years of academic teaching experience at the post-grad level and also about 14 years of experience in the software development industry at the global competitive level.

He joined the department of Computer Science, CUSAT, in April 1992 as Lecturer. K.B.Muralidharan took his M.Sc. degree in Physics from CUSAT in 1986 and later took his M.Tech. degree in Computer and Information Sciences also from CUSAT in 1989.

Prior to joining CUSAT as Lecturer in April 1992, Muralidharan had been working with Ramco Systems as Senior Programmer in their R&D division.

Muralidharan took a long sabbatical from academics between 1999 and 2011 to engage himself with software industry. He worked in various capacities as Lead Architect, Product Manager, Lead Manager for Quality Drive and Technology Director. He has traveled widely and also worked with a few Fortune 100 clients at their overseas business/techonology centres as well.

Besides a Six Sigma GreenBelt, he also stay certified as Sun J2EE Architect(2003) and ISO 9001/2000 internal auditor.

Areas of Current Interest
Systems and Algorithms for large-scale data stream computing, Online Learning Algorithms, Parallel and Distributed Systems, Mobile Computing, Software Engineering.
